Seeking for a spot to cool down in the desert we found the Palm Spring aerial tramway which took us to the Mt. San Jacinto State Park. We got some awesome views on Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley and also a wonderful walk in the woods.

A GREEN DREAM

I spent a wonderful long weekend in Tuscany back in May filled with all things that I love. The reason to go there was once again the Giro d'Italia. This year I was able to watch the guys two times - close to the finish line in Arezzo and on a time trial through beautiful Chianti area.
I have never been to Tuscany in spring, but I was really surprised by all the different shades of green.

BUSY

I am very busy working these days, but I try to enjoy spring and sunshine as much as possible. Also gardening season already startet - yay! Last picture shows all the beautiful yarn I brought home from my recent trip to New York. Let's make some more cute bunnies - so much fun!

NEW YORK

I went to New York for the first time and it was awesome! It was so different than expected, I really loved it there except the first day when it snowed :) And yes, we did all the touristy stuff and much more. We had so much great food - Chinese and Korean were my favorite. The MoMA made me speechless and Lady Liberty was fun. Architecture was also really amazing (except the WTC transportation hub was strange) and the squirrels in Central Park were too cute.

WEST

The weather is still grey and wet in Zurich but hey a walk is always possible. This time I decided to go and have a look at  Zurich West. There is so much going on there and since my route to work doesn't take me there any longer, I thought it might be nice to see some changes. Perfect because the Freitag store is also located there and my most precious bag needs some repair. Did you know that the repair of you Freitag bag is for free?

FOG

I woke up in the whee hours of the morning not knowing if a world outside still exits. Two hours later the view was not better (see second picture) so I decided to go put for a hike on the Ütliberg. It was so wonderful seeing the fog rise and the sun shine so bright. Now on to reorganizing my studio.

SATURDAYS

Saturadays are for walking, talking, drinking coffee and having fun.
Last picture shows some crocheted baby slippers I made for a wonderful new person.

WALK

My year started not exactly as I wished - sick again. I try to rest and recover over the weekend, but I couldn't stay in. I get very restless when I can not go out and walk, so I did despite the bad weather.

A TRIP TO BELGIUM - FOURTH AND LAST STOP GHENT

While busy planning my next trip I managed to upload some pictures from the wonderful city of Ghent. We spent such a lovely day there including perfect bagels, a sunny boat trip, a nap at the canal and of course we went to a friture.

The next stop took as to Bruges, a very picturesque city in the north. Lots of old traditional houses and shops, but little bit touristy. We had the best fries ever after drinking some beers at
't Brugs Beertje :) Also our hotel was a real gem and we had such a nice room with a canal view.

A TRIP TO BELGIUM - FIRST STOP ANTWERP

For this year's birthday celebrations I decided to go to Belgium again, because last time it was wonderful. This time a had a round trip on my mind. First stop Antwerp - a pretty cool city. We started the day with a drive from Brussels and then a visit to the exotic market and then breakfast. We had nothing on our mind and just wandered around the city. And of course we had some beers at Kulminator. What a nice day!

The leaves are slowly starting to change their color and the air has that special smell. Hello autumn!
